How long is the free license valid for?

Currently we are giving the research license for 6 months. If you need the service for more that this then we suggest that you look into our paid licenses.

How many surveys can I run?

Currently the research license gives access to only one survey. You cannot run more than 1 survey at a given time. Creating multiple accounts and applying for free research licenses is a violation of our acceptable use policy.

How many responses can I collect?

5000 -- If you need more that that please upgrade to a paid license level.

I do not have a Dept. Website where I can put a link -- What do I do?

There are lots of free sites that allow you to create blogs and personal websites. For example blogger.com, typepad.com, livejournal.com. Use any of these services to put a link to QuestionPro. Details about how to add the link are provided when you upgrade.

I do not have an academic email address? What can I do?

You are out of luck! Quite frankly it is impossible for us to automatically verify that you are indeed affiliated with an academic institution. Please find out a way to get an academic (.edu, .ac) email address and then apply for the free license.

Note:Academic Institutions in some countries do not have a special top-level domain (Canada, Iceland etc.) -- In such cases, please contact us (Academic Support) with the name of the institution as well as the URL. We will then add it to our registry. You should then be able to upgrade using the automatic upgrade process.

OK - What other restrictions/terms do I have to agree to for the free license?

• Cite Survey Analytics as the Survey Instrument and Software Provider in your final report (Survey Methodology / References Section)
• Permission to publish the research abstract and project description as a Survey Analytics case study
• Permission to publish surveys as templates for others to access them

Note: If any of the above terms are not acceptable to you, please do not apply for a Free Research License. The terms for the Free Research License are not negotiable.

What about support? What kind of support do I get with the Free Research License?

Support for the Free License is fairly limited. We really cannot afford to provide support free of cost. The Research Sponsorship program does not include support of any kind.

Can I pay a discounted price and get support, and access to all the advanced analysis tools like Grouping/Segmentation, Conjoint, Turf and Trend Analysis?

No. If you need access to the advanced tool-set (Conjoint, TURF. etc.) you'll have to purchase one of our regular licenses.

I am affiliated with a non-profit organization. Can I use this?

No - The research sponsorship program is strictly for students and faculty members. Non-Profit companies can make use of the Non-Profit Waiver program - See below.

Where can I upgrade my account?
